About Us

The Herb & Spice Shop on Bank Street has been Centretown Ottawa's go-to natural food store for over 40 years. Recently, our Wellness Shop, formerly at 380 Bank, moved back across the street to join the Food Shop at 375 Bank. Find all our Wellness Shop product in a brand new space at the back of the Shop.

The Food Shop's many departments stock a variety of fresh ready-to eat items, bulk foods, fresh produce, herb & spices, baking supplies, frozen foods, meat & fish, specialty ingredients, and grocery staples with an emphasis on vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free & other dietary options. Products are sourced from local & organic producers as much as possible. We are actively working to increase low to zero waste options across all departments, and encourage customers to shop with reusable containers & bags. Reusable food storage bags, jars & containers are available for purchase in store, or you may bring your own.

The Wellness Shop section includes health & nutritional supplements, bulk medicinal herbs, face care, bath & body products, natural cosmetics & beauty supplies, hair care, hygiene & personal care basics, essential oils, aromatherapy & DIY supplies, incense & other burnables, natural sun & insect protection, and a small selection of apparel basics. When it comes to personal care & beauty, we specialize in sourcing products made with ingredients that are safe for people and the environment. You'll find many locally made, vegan, biodegradable, and organic products on our Wellness shelves. Our Wellness Shop staff are happy to help you find the product that meet your specific needs.

Seniors & post-secondary students can get a 10% discount on most* regular priced items. See details below.
*Some exceptions, ask in-store for more info.

Details:

• Students (Post-Secondary) are eligible for a 10% discount on Sundays only, with the presentation of a valid Student ID card.
• Seniors 65+ are eligible to receive a 10% discount on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Valid ID may be requested.

Customers must request their discount from the cashier at the start of the transaction!
